About WMD

World Mission to the Deaf seeks to encourage individuals and local churches to support missionary service among the Deaf. This also includes assistance to Christian Nationals involved in Deaf ministry and evangelism in developing countries.

WMD was incorporated in 1979 as a non-denominational missionary service organization, and over the years has supported Christian work in Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Belize, and elsewhere.

Generally speaking, WMD:
  • assists Canadian missionaries desiring to reach the mission field
  • handles financial transactions
  • assists with work teams and projects
  • advises ministries and missionaries

WMD Board and Advisory Council

WMD is governed by a Board of Directors, who have further established an advisory council for input.
